2000 – 2004
While they were sold for the first time as separate model ranges in 2000, both the Subaru Legacy and Subaru Outback shared a basic platform and chassis. The Outback served as the more utilitarian, go-anywhere vehicle, while the Legacy was more sporty and nimble.
