Subaru Inspections

About Our Inspections

We pride ourselves on a thorough and accurate inspection process.  This is one of the most important aspects of Subaru maintenance because it helps us find problems before they occur. We offer the following inspections separate from our maintenance services, but if you come in for regular scheduled maintenance, you will have no need for additional inspections.  If your Subaru is exhibiting abnormal symptoms, we would recommend our diagnostic services to locate the source of your trouble. Please visit our Diagnostics section for more information.

Courtesy

This inspection is performed on every car, every time it enters our shop.  We record your tire tread depth, adjust your tire pressure to factory specifications, check all of your exterior lights, and inspect all fluids which are accessible under the hood.

Pre-Purchase

If you are in the market for a used Subaru, have Garage One inspect it before you buy it.  We thoroughly inspect the vehicle to gauge what kind of condition it’s in, how well it has been maintained, what repairs it is in need of now, and how much work it will need in the near future.  This inspection is basically the same as our Comprehensive Inspection, with a closer look at paint and body damage.  We want you to know what you’re getting into!

 Comprehensive

If you are past due on your services and are not sure what condition your car is in, we recommend our Comprehensive Inspection.  With this, we take a look to see what maintenance items you are due for and inspect your Subaru’s warning lights, windshield, wipers, washers, exterior lights, fluids, drive belts, clutch, fuel lines, timing belt, cooling system, engine gaskets and seals, steering system, CV axles, suspension, brakes, wheels, and tires.

Tech Inspection

Looking forward to the next track day, autoX, or rallyX?  Garage One can help you prepare by performing the Tech Inspection.  We will follow the tech form for your particular event, which typically includes inspecting exterior lights, fluids, safety restraints, wheel bearings, wheel balance, lug nut torque, wipers, washers, and leaks.
