About Our Warranty

We fully stand behind our work, so we offer our standard 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty on our services.  Below is our current warranty information.  Our warranty is subject to change without notice and the warranty that applies to your repair order can be found printed on your invoice copy.

As Currently Printed On Our Invoices

GARAGE ONE SUBARU WORKSHOP WARRANTY INFORMATION
All parts and services listed on this repair order are guaranteed to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first from the date of this repair order, unless otherwise noted or void due to (but not limited to) one of the following five conditions.  Any defects in materials or workmanship will be repaired, replaced, or resupplied  at the discretion of Garage One.  No returns or reimbursements will be given.
(I) CUSTOMER SUPPLIED PARTS – Garage One will not warranty parts or labor for any job with parts supplied by customer. Garage one will not be held liable for any failures, damage, or poor performance due to the installation of customer supplied parts, regardless of the cause of failure, damage, or poor performance. If incorrect parts supplied by customer cause vehicle to remain immobile in Garage One’s workspace, there will be a $100/day storage fee for each day vehicle renders this workspace unusable for the service of other vehicles. Alternatively, an additional hourly labor charge may be applied to assemble and later disassemble vehicle in order to safely remove vehicle from Garage One’s workspace.
(II) NEGLECT – Garage One will void all warranties for damages due to customer neglect. Neglect includes, but is not limited to, failure to properly and timely service vehicle to prevent premature wear or damage to components installed by Garage One, overheating engine or transmission, not using proper or required chemicals and fluids, etc.
(III) MODIFICATIONS – Any modification to any system or part, or the installation of aftermarket performance parts on customer’s vehicle, performed either by Garage One or customer, before or after service work is performed by Garage One, will void Garage One’s standard warranty. Modified systems and parts, or the use of high performance parts, that change the behavior or design of the vehicle from the vehicle’s original factory specifications place added stresses to the vehicle and its systems, cause added noise and vibration, and cannot be considered as reliable or comfortable as original equipment.
(IV) MOTORSPORTS – Use of the vehicle for high-performance motorsports including, but not limited to, track days, autocross, rally, and drag racing will void Garage One’s warranty. Motorsports involve running vehicles at or beyond their extremities, severely shorten the life of the vehicles components, and require more than average maintenance and repair to keep the vehicle in a safe and reliable operating condition.  Any upgraded components installed on a vehicle are cause to assume the use of vehicle for motorsports.
(V) SERVICES NOT RENDERED BY GARAGE ONE – Any failures or damages caused or repaired by another party while servicing customer’s vehicle will void Garage One’s warranty.  Garage One will not be held responsible, and will not provide any reimbursements, for any diagnostics, repairs, towing, storage, rental fees, or any other services not arranged for or provided by Garage One.

 

Other Terms and Conditions

Aside from our warranty information, there are additional terms that we ask you to agree with when having us service your Subaru.  The following information can be found printed on the signature panel of your Estimates and Invoices.

 

On Your Estimate Signature Panel

I hereby authorize the repair work listed hereon, including sublet work, to be done along with necessary materials, and hereby grant you and/or your employees, permission to operate vehicle herein described on streets, highways or elsewhere for the purpose of testing and/or inspection. I have the right to: (A) the return of my replaced parts unless they are required for core return. (B) know the prices, terms and conditions of all warranties, if any. My old parts will be saved for inspection or return upon receipt of the vehicle only if requested at time of estimate. A fee will be charged for hazardous waste disposal. Garage One will not be held responsible for loss or damage to vehicle or articles left in vehicle in case of fire, theft, accident or any other cause beyond our control. An express mechanic’s lien is hereby acknowledged on above car, truck or vehicle to secure the amount of repairs thereto. Vehicles not picked up within five (5) days of completion can be charged $25/day storage.  The final invoice is to be paid in full before this vehicle is released. In the event it is necessary to retain an attorney to collect for the services and goods shown on this estimate, Garage One will be entitled to a reasonable attorney fee in addition to its court cost.  I will not hold Garage One liable for delays in shipments or unavailability of parts necessary to complete work on vehicle. I agree with the Warranty Information section printed on this Estimate.

 

On Your Invoice Signature Panel

By signing this final invoice, I have authorized the repair work listed hereon, including any sublet work, to be done along with necessary materials. I have also authorized any increase in price and repairs over the original estimate that may be noted elsewhere on this invoice. Fees may have been charged for hazardous waste disposal. Garage One has explained that the standard warranty for parts and labor is 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first from the date of this invoice. In the event a warranty issue occurs, the vehicle must be returned to Garage One for repairs. Garage One will not reimburse repairs performed by another technician or repair facility.  Garage One cannot be held liable for any additional costs outside of the original repairs. In the event it is necessary to retain an attorney to collect for the services and goods shown on this invoice, the repair facility will be entitled to a reasonable attorney fee in addition to its court cost. I acknowledge receipt of the vehicle in good condition and a copy of this Repair Order.
