Our Courtesy Inspection is a free inspection that we perform on every car with every visit to Garage One.  This inspection helps keep your car safe for you and others on the road.

While driving a car, it can be difficult to tell if an exterior light bulb has gone out.  However, it can also be very dangerous if another driver is unable to see your car or tell if you are braking or reversing.  We check the following light bulbs:

• Low beams
• High beams
• Fog lights
• Clearance lights
• Front and rear side markers
• Front and rear turn signals
• Brake lights
• Tail lights
• License plate lights
• Reverse lights

Fluids are crucial to a vehicle’s proper function and reliability.  A quick check should be performed at least once a month when filling your fuel.  We check any fluid that has a dipstick or is visible through a reservoir.  These fluids typically include the following:

• Engine oil
• Coolant
• Brake fluid
• Clutch fluid
• Power steering fluid
• Manual transmission oil
• Automatic transmission fluid
• Front differential oil

With your tires being your main source of traction, they are critical for your safety on the road.  We inspect your tire wear pattern as well as measure and record your tire tread depth to make sure your tires are in safe operating condition.  Rubber also deteriorates over time so we decipher the date codes on your tires and recommend new tires when needed.

One of the greatest pollutants from cars is tire dust.  Under-inflated tires can heat up, causing blowouts on the highway.  Tires wear unevenly with too much or too little air pressure.  A TPMS light may turn on when a tire pressure is out of range.  All of this can be minimized or avoided by properly inflating your tires.  Your tire pressure gets set to factory specifications every time your Subaru is in for service at Garage One.
